Street crossing is not always this restrained, still I was amazed not to see accidents happening. In Xian, at times, the mix of pedestrians, 2 and 3 wheeled contraptions of all kinds, together with trucks, buses, taxis and human pulled carts, crisscrossing each other, was absolutely maddening.
